Joker: Folie à Deux Teaser Trailer is now out. Directed by Todd Phillips, the movie is a sequel to his 2019 blockbuster film, Joker. Based on DC Comics’ character, the film stars Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck/Joker, Lady Gaga as Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn, Zazie Beetz as Sophie Dumond, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Steve Coogan. Todd co-wrote the story with Scott Silver.

The official synopsis of the Joker 2 trailer simply reads, “He’s not alone anymore.”. In the Joker: Folie à Deux Teaser Trailer, Arthur Fleck and Lady Gaga’s Harleen Quinzen first lay eyes on one other at the Arkham Asylum. A dialogue from the trailer goes like this – “We use music to make us whole. To balance the fractures within ourselves.” The Todd Phillips directorial is a musical psychological thriller. So, it makes sense that the art is at the forefront this time.
Once Arthur and Harleen get talking, she tells him how she hasn’t done something like him. But we can sense the desire in her eyes to unleash the wildness inside her. Who better than Arthur Fleck, aka Joker, to bring out that side of her? The duo escape the prison together, and that’s where the chaos begins. Arthur and Harleen’s times together are full of intensity, vigour, and conviction toward each other.
Seeing Joaquin Phoenix don the Joker look again is quite surreal. We have waited 5 years to see him back in action. Joker: Folie à Deux is a story of love, rage and madness. This time Arthur is not alone. He has someone willing to stand with him while he fights for his beliefs. Together, Arthur and Harley paint the city of Gotham with the darkness and burn it down with the fire of their love! They wreak havoc as a team. In every scene they share, Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga’s chemistry captivates you.

Hildur Guðnadóttir has composed the music for Joker: Folie à Deux. The moment the beat drops in the teaser trailer, the score and the song used intensify the disruption that unfolds further. Hildur worked with Todd Phillips even for the first film. So, we can expect her to once more deliver music that will send shivers down our spines.
Todd Phillips shared the trailer on his Instagram page and captioned it, “What the world needs now…” Earlier, the director had shared that he always had an interest in making a sequel. The teaser trailer offers an exhilarating glimpse of the disorder awaiting us on the silver screen. Phillips, having captivated audiences with his work on Joker, has the big responsibility of elevating the frenzy even further. Yet, our trust in the director assures us that he will deliver a sequel that is undeniably compelling.
