Marvel films gave us superheroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, WandaVision and many others. In Avengers: Endgame, all the powerful superhero came together to fight against the mighty Thanos. The film turned out to be the biggest worldwide blockbuster of 2019. Every fan knows that these films are made by the Marvel Cinematic Universe in partnership with Disney.
Along with minting huge money at the box office, both MCU and Disney also earn a lot through the costumes these superheroes wear. However, if you are an ardent fan of the films, you would’ve noticed that almost every superhero wears a different costume than their earlier film. Ever wondered why? We’ll tell you the reason.
A lot of you must’ve thought that Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Black Panther and others change their costume as there’s an upgrade in their suits, well you are partly right. But the major reason these suits are changes is to gain money for Disney by selling the merchandise. Every time a Marvel superhero changes their new costume, Disney earn money on the side by selling toys, t-shirts, action figures and more of the Marvel superheroes.
This was pointed out by some fans on Reddit. A Reddit user wrote, “Is there any hero in the MCU that wore the same costume in back to back movies?” To which someone replied, “I’m pretty sure there isn’t. They gotta change costumes so they can sell more toys.”
