Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Pete, was shot in her foot twice in mid-July while out with rapper Tory Lanez and a girlfriend. Megan during a live session recently opened up about the incident saying that it was Tory who shot her.
On Thursday, she posted photos of her injured foot on Instagram but deleted them a few hours later. Over the past few days, she has been sharing details of the incident on the social media platform.
In a fiery Instagram Live session on Thursday night, Megan Thee Stallion claimed that rapper Tory Lanez is indeed the person who shot her in a July 12 incident in Los Angeles. She said, “Yes, this n—a Tory shot me. You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people to [talk to] these blogs, lying and sh–. Stop lying!”
During the session, she mentioned that she did not tell law-enforcement officers that Lanez was the shooter because of recent police violence. She said, “I didn’t tell the police nothing because I didn’t want us to get in no more trouble.”
For those who do not know, Rapper Tory Lanez was arrested early Sunday morning (July 12) after a house party altercation turned violent. The 27-year-old rapper was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in his vehicle. Megan Thee Stallion injured her foot during the incident and was treated at a local hospital. Lanez was charged with a felony for carrying a concealed weapon.
Megan Thee Stallion spoke out about the incident on during an Instagram Live a while back saying, “I was shot in both of my feet, and I had to get surgery to … get the bullets taken out, and it was super scary.”
Tory posted his $35,000 bail and was released later that day and is scheduled to appear in the court in October.
