Thor: Love and Thunder is indeed one of the most-anticipated releases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The excitement among the fans is more because this Chris Hemsworth starrer will be helmed by Taika Waititi, who also directed Thor: Ragnarok which received rave reviews from fans and critics.

Thor 4 will be set post the events of Avengers: Endgame. In the previous MCU films, our God of Thunder lost everything that meant a lot to his – his mother Frigga, father Odinson, brother Loki and best friend, Heimdall. But guess what? The makers are planning to bring one of these dead characters back in Thor: Love and Thunder and it’s not Loki.

As reported by WeGotThisCovered, the fourth Thor film will witness the return of Heimdall, who guarded the Bifrost in Asgard. Played by Idris Elba, Heimdall has been a key character in all Thor films so far. He is Thor’s best friend and watching him being killed by Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War was too painful for Chris Hemsworth’s character.
