A day after Ryan Reynolds dismissed him being a part of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Black Adam, here is an announcement of a new film. Deadpool fame Reynolds is all set to star in a family comedy that will be helmed by director Paul King. The filmmaker is popularly known for his work in Paddington. Below are all the deets.
The film is based on a short story by Simon Rich titled Everyday Parenting Tips. It comes out of Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s much spoken about first-look deal with Universal.
Ryan Reynolds will play a father dealing with his family and struggling to raise kids. Amid all this is a problem of a Great Monster Uprising. Simon Rich, who is gearing for the release of An American Pickle, is the writer on board.
The film will have Ryan Reynolds with his partner George Dewey co-producing the show with Lord and Miller.
Meanwhile, it was recently speculated that Ryan will play Hawkman in Black Adam alongside The Rock. Rubbishing the rumours Ryan Reynolds wrote, “I’m not playing Hawkman in Black Adam. Although I generally do whatever the hell @TheRock tells me to do. I would however love to be in Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie and I’ve heard I may already be in it? #SnyderCut.”
