When he went to space, he was stuck there for 20 days alone with Nebula because of Thanos.

Just like all Marvel films, Iron Man In Infinity War Too Got So Much Love From Fans

Josh Brolin’s Thanos had snapped his fingers in Infinity War. Hence, everyone who was there along with Tony, vanished in the end; except for Nebula. But if you think it was the first time Iron Man went to space, you are wrong. In 2012 film The Avengers, Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man entered the space for a few seconds through a portal from where the Chitauri force attacked New York. He went up inside the [portal to place the missile so that Chitauri stops entering the world. Iron Man almost ran out of breath and came down falling on the Earth. But he was saved by Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk.
