Disney’s ambitious magnum opus Mulan saw its digital release last week. The film has already faced a massive backlash for various reasons. Adding to the same is one more controversy. Now the netizens have called out the makers for shooting the film in Xinjiang province in China. The makers have also credited and thanked the government of the said province and that has not gone down well with the masses. Scroll down to know more about the same.
Viewers lately observed in the end credits of the film that Disney has credited eight government entities in Xinjiang, China. Now for the unversed, the far west part of China that is home to Uighur Muslims is a place where the minorities are facing a lot of oppression.

Apart from the government, the credits in Mulan also mention the Police Bureau of Turpan. And this has left everyone more agitated. As to at what level they have contributed in the film is still unclear, but the move is called a promotion for Human Rights abusers.
