Lindsay Lohan has found herself in a legal mess. HarperCollins is suing the Freaky Friday actress for allegedly entering into a book deal in 2014 and never writing a book. Yes, you read that right, over 6 years now and the publication hasn’t seen a manuscript yet. The lawsuit also claims the publishing house gave Lohan a $365,000 advance against future royalties.

As per the lawsuit filed in New York Supreme Court on Thursday, Lohan’s company Crossheart Productions and HarperCollins entered into a contract in March 2014. The lawsuit also states that Lindsay promised to write a book for the publishing company. Her book was originally due on May 1, 2015. But, in 2016, the trio agreed to push the deadline to March 15, 2017.

The lawsuit states, “The Defendants failed to deliver a complete manuscript for the Work to the Plaintiff by the contractually agreed upon deadline and to this day they have failed to deliver a complete manuscript.”
