Our favourite Avengers assembled once again and this time it was for 2020 Kids’ Choice Awards. ‘Iron Man’ Robert Downey Jr, ‘Black Widow’ Scarlett Johansson, ‘Hulk’ Mark Ruffalo, ‘Hawkeye’ Jeremy Renner, ‘Thor’ Chris Hemsworth and ‘Captain America’ Chris Evans were seen in this super-sweet reunion video.
The video starts with Scarlett Johansson saying, “This is such a thrill. We are so excited and so happy the Kids’ Choice Awards are happening.” Mark Ruffalo continues by saying, “The show must go on, the life must go on, the Avengers must go on.”
The fun starts when Chris Hemsworth calls himself as the ‘strongest avenger’ and suddenly Chris Evans pops up as Captain America, hitting him with, “Well I think that’s debatable, I beat you up in the push-up challenge.” Scarlett Johansson jokes on the situation and says, “That’s been my life for a decade now, so…”
Amidst all the bantering, Robert Downey Jr makes a very special appearance leaving everyone in shock. Scarlett Johansson exclaims, “Oh!” while Mark Ruffalo goes like “Robert?” Hawkeye Jeremy Renner says, “We thought you were uh—” hinting at the heart-shattering death of Iron Man.
To which Robert handles the situation with a superheroic response, saying “What? Social distancing? Aren’t we all?” He ends the video by saying what every fan was hoping to hear, “Love you 3000.” Even Captain America says his catchphrase, “Whatever it takes” which goes straight through every fan’s heart.
Robert Downey Jr had hinted about the reunion at Avengers’ Endgame watch party in which he said, “I won’t say why but I had an occasion to be interfacing with the other five of the original six Avengers just a few days ago. After we all kind of hung up or whatever of our Zoom call. I got this wave of all that and yeah, it did feel like about a year ago. But, you know, it was years leading up to it. It was like a year to do it and finish it and get it out. I’m sure for you, it feels like a year ago, you worked for a thousand years straight.”
