Raise your hand if Henry Cavill is your favourite Superman! The actor who last played the iconic superhero in Justice League has been missed by all of us. While we all have been wanting him to take over that mighty red cape yet again, the recent updates seem to be in our favour. Henry might return as the Superman and we have all the details for you below.
According to the latest reports, Henry Cavill might return in a cameo or in the upcoming DC comic films or may get a stand-alone film to his name. The actor impressed the audience with his performance and of course, that cutting edge jawline.
As reported in the Deadline, Henry Cavill who is set to make a return to the DC family might make appearances in Shazam 2, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam or Aquaman 2. These films are up to start productions once the pandemic subsides. Meanwhile, Warner Bros is not developing Man of Steel sequel as of now.
The report also answers the biggest question and reveals that Superman is not expected to appear in Matt Reeves much spoken about and highly anticipated film, The Batman.
However, Henry Cavill appeared on the cover of Men’s Health magazine, back in 2019. During the same when asked about his return as Superman, had said, “The cape is still in the closet. It’s still mine. I’m not going to sit quietly in the dark as all the stuff is going on. I’ve not given up on the role. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet. A lot of storytelling to do. A lot of real, true depths to the honesty of the character I want to get into. I want to reflect the comic books. That’s important to me. There’s a lot of justice to be done for Superman. The status is: You’ll see.”
In other news, Zack Snyder is all set to release his cut of the Justice League that the fans have been demanding for. It will release on HBO Max in 2021. As for Henry Cavill, the star played Superman in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and Justice League. Last seen in Mission Impossible: Fallout and Witcher, he has the second season of the latter in his kitty.
