From the time Henry Cavill and his edgy jawline stepped in as the iconic Superman in 2013, there was no looking back. As much as we love him playing the mighty charming superhero, Henry loves his character no less. In a recent interview he opened up how he wants to keep playing the DC superhero for years, and that it gives him a happy responsibility.

Henry Cavill donned the tights and the red cape in 2013 and by now has stared in 3 DC films as the Superman. Namely, Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Justice League. All three of which have been successful.

In a recent chat with Variety, the actor expressed how he wishes to play the iconic character for years to come. Henry Cavill said, “I’ve always been a fan of Superman. With a character like that, you carry the mantle with you off set. And it becomes part of your public representation. When you meet children, children don’t necessarily see me as Henry Cavill, but they might see Superman, and there’s a responsibility which comes with that. Because it’s such a wonderful character, it’s actually a responsibility I’m happy to have, and I hope that I get to play more of Superman in years to come.”
