Congratulations are in order Scarlett Byrne and Cooper Hefner. The Harry Potter actress and Hugh Hefner’s son welcomed their first child together on August 24, 2020. Byrne, who played Pansy Parkinson in the HP movie, gave birth to a baby girl on Monday at 5:23 pm.
Last year, Byrne and Hefner married in a courthouse ceremony in Ventura, Calif. Earlier this year, Cooper shared the news that they were expecting their first child via an Instagram post.
Hefner also told E! News that his and Scarlett Byrne’s baby weighed in at 6 pounds, 5 ounces. In a statement given to the publication, Cooper said, “We are overwhelmed with joy to share that our daughter, Betsy Rose Hefner, has arrived. We look forward to being home and spending time together as a family in the days and weeks ahead.”
Cooper Hefner took to social media and shared pictures of Scarlett Byrne and their baby. He captioned the post, “At 5:23 pm this afternoon Scarlett and I welcomed our daughter Betsy Rose Hefner into the world. We are overwhelmed with gratitude, love and joy.”
Talking about naming their kid Betsy, Cooper told the media outlet that it was inspired by his grandmother, Betsy Aldridge-Conrad. His grandma passed away in July 2020. He said, “My grandmother meant the world to both Scarlett and I.”
Scarlett Byrne and Cooper Hefner’s love story began more than six years ago. Cooper asked The Vampire Diaries star in 2015 to marry him. For now, the couple is focused on baby Betsy.
