Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen turns a year older today. The model-actress who turns 40 today decided to plant 40,000 in celebration.
Over the weekend, the environmental activist announced that instead of celebrating the occasion with a glamorous party, this year she decided to plant trees. Gisele Bündchen shared a series of photos of herself and her family planting trees on Instagram. Seen in the pictures are her husband, NFL player Tom Brady and children, Benjamin (10) and Vivian (7).
Gisele Bündchen revealed that she wanted to mark her 40th birthday in a ‘meaningful way’. She wrote, “As some of you know, my birthday is coming up on July 20th. And it’s not just any birthday! I can’t believe I am turning 40! I feel like a whole new chapter of my life is starting, and I wanted to celebrate it in a meaningful way, so I decided to plant 40,000 trees. I have been planting trees for different projects for years, as I feel that this is the best way I know to give back to Mother Earth.”
