Be it for good or bad reasons, Fifty Shades Of Grey is amongst the most popular films across the globe. No matter how much critics bashed the film upon its release, Dakota Johnson and James Dornan managed to fetch a hardcore fan following.

Thanks to the steamy chemistry between the leading duo, the film was a huge commercial success. Made at an approximate cost of $40 million, the erotic drama raked an unbelievable sum of $570 million globally (as per Box Office Mojo). Just imagine the kind of rage it created upon its arrival. Interestingly, the box office numbers would have been much higher if not faced a ban in as much as 7 countries.

Yes, you read that line right. Fifty Shades Of Grey faced a ban in not 1 or 2 but 7 countries. The countries which prohibited the release were mostly Asian countries. The list includes- Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Kenya, United Arab Emirates, Papua New Guinea and Cambodia. The aforementioned countries straightly refused to screen the film due to the explicit content.
