Samuel L Jackson made his debut in Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D, Nick Fury, in 2008 film Iron Man. Starring Robert Downey Jr in the lead role, the former appeared in the end credits scene to discuss Avengers initiative with Tony Stark.

One cannot image Marvel films without Nick Fury in it. After all, along with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, it was also him who brought together all our Avengers. But recently, there were reports that MCU is planning to replace Samuel L Jackson as Fury.

The reports stated that in its Phase 4, Marvel is planning to phase out S.H.I.E.L.D and Nick Fury and make way for Abigail Brand and S.W.O.R.D. As reported by WeGotThisCovered, Samuel L Jackson has requested MCU to not replace him in future films.
