Britney Spears felt nostalgic on an Instagram post which she had shared and almost instantly fans took the cue about the time she and her former boyfriend Justin Timberlake appearing at the AMA in 2001. The memory came to the 38-year-old pop star after stumbling upon the photo of two adorable children recreating the former couple’s look. She even laughed at her own nostalgic post on Instagram.
The Toxic singer shared the photo with a caption, “I guess my denim was a hit years ago” followed by a ton of shrugging, unicorn and laughing emojis. Almost quickly, fans freaked out over this nostalgic throwback. While one fan commented “Best couple ever” another said, “Queen of realizing her impact on fashion!!!!!!!” and “Forever iconic.”
Reportedly, the former power couple met as children on the sets of The Mickey Mouse Club in 1993, and four years later they crossed professional path again at NSYNC group’s 1998-1999 tour. At the time, Britney Spears even opened for Justin Timberlake, who part of the boy band.
Eventually, their friendship turned romantic in 1999 and dated until 2002. Their break-up was reportedly a shocking-split. However, now both are in a serious relationship. Britney is dating dancer 26-year-old Sam Asghari while Justin is married to actress Jessica Biel.

The rumours soon fizzled out and were never confirmed. In spite of the rumours, the two seems to be on good terms. Back in April 2020, Justin even left a friendly comment on a video of his ex dancing to his song.
Justin also spoke about their past relationship on his former bandmate’s podcast, The Daily Popcast, in March. He explained as to why he and Britney chose to deck themselves out in denim. Admittedly Justin said, “You do a lot of things when you’re young and in love.”
