Remember Season 8 of FRIENDS, the end of which we witnessed Rachel Green finally giving birth to baby Emma? That remained a major highlight, but the behind the scenes were rather tough for Courteney Cox. She had faced multiple miscarriages in the past, and while Jennifer Aniston’s character was giving birth in the show, our Monica in real life had undergone another miscarriage and was struggling with that heart-breaking emotions.
In an old interview with NBC, Courteney Cox opened about that phase and shared how doing comedy in such a situation was tough. “That was hard. Sometimes, like I remember one time I just had a miscarriage and Rachel was giving birth. It was like that at the same time. Oh my God, it was terrible having to be funny,” shared the FRIENDS actress.

And that’s not it! The actress went through as many as 7 miscarriages until she finally gave birth to her daughter. Courteney Cox was pregnant during her finale season.
“I had a lot of miscarriages, and I don’t think that’s something that people shouldn’t talk about, because … it was unfortunate but it happens. I just think it’s important to get things out there so people can realize they’re not alone,” she later said in an interview with Busy Philips.
The show must have witnessed a happy moment and it definitely wouldn’t have been possible without Courteney Cox who managed to lift up the spirits despite everything. Kudos to the beauty for it!
