Netflix is back with an interesting love story filled with passion, colors, and a lot of first-world problems. But it still feels like a lot of fun. The upcoming series titled #Love stars Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles. It is a web series that will deep-dive into how the equation between two individuals working for rival dating app companies explores the emotion of love.
Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das play Tara and Matthew in the upcoming series. They are both successful entrepreneurs but work for rival dating apps. Their respective careers have been arduous, helping others find their happily-ever-afters while their own love lives remain unsolved and mildly ironic. And that is the catch of their story. They experiment with real-life dating while helping people find love through their apps.
Tara’s app, Found, is built on compatibility. Matthew’s app, Find My Bae, swears by chemistry. And the series is basically just that! An experiment on compatibility vs. chemistry involving the founders. The trailer of #Love introduces us to the strong-headed characters who take on a challenge to test their compatibility and chemistry. If Tara wins, Matthew will have to invite her company, and if Matthew wins, he gets to go on a date with her.

The series promises to be a fresh take on connection in a digital world, tackling friendship, family, ambition, and the eternal chaos of figuring yourself out.
Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lekshmi have great chemistry just in the trailer, and I cannot wait to see how it unfolds in the long-format show. The series seems to plan to work around the tension between these strong-headed individuals. It also seems like a light watch and very different from the violent content on the big screen and on OTT.
In a press statement, Aishwarya Lekshmi described her character as “emotionally layered, ambitious and hardworking; she struggles, she falls, and yet she keeps building, all while trying to make sense of her own love life.” Arjun Das, on the other hand, described his character as a hopeless romantic hiding behind a chill-guy exterior.
Love is written by Nirmal Williams, with Sharada Subramanian and Shweta Chakravarty as co-writers, and produced by May 6 Entertainment Factory. The series will begin streaming on Netflix from October 2.
