Avengers: Endgame Encore just hit the big screens. And the new footage leading to Avengers: Doomsday has left those who were part of the first screening eager for more. The audience instantly became eager to witness the next grand battle, epic ensemble, and an incursion that is beyond one’s imagination. Avengers: Endgame Encore has arrived with new footage that gives Marvel fans a closer look at what could be coming in Avengers: Doomsday. Along with an extended ending, the film also features three post-credit scenes that add new twists to the story.
So, what are these new scenes, and how do they connect a six-year-old film to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday? Here’s everything you need to know.

Avengers: Endgame Encore — New Extended Scene
The first, most important scene comes for a few seconds. This is when Old Captain America is seen sitting after the time jump. It is the exact scene from 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. He has a conversation with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson and gives him the shield. They soon shake hands, with Steve Rogers keeping his other hand on top of Sam’s. This is when the audience sees a ring on Rogers’ hand, and Sam asks if Rogers would like to share how his wife is doing.

The next additional footage in the movie is from when Captain America stays back in time. While the original Endgame showed him dancing with Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter, this time the scene is different. The scene begins on the street outside their house. It is the same street and the same house shown in the teaser announcing the return of Captain America. The camera goes inside the window, showing both Cap and Carter sharing a moment. However, soon we hear a knock on the door.
As Rogers and Carter panic and prepare themselves for the uninvited guest, the Man Out of Time is seen hiding behind a wall. Agent Carter opens the door and asks the guest if she can be of help; however, the guest demands help from both Carter and Rogers. The character talking from the porch of their house is then revealed to be Loki.
Mid-Credit Scene 1
Bruce Banner is shown locked inside a military compound. It is revealed that he is several feet below the surface, so the Hulk cannot escape and wreak havoc after the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Bruce Banner is seen filming all of this on a phone’s camera, also introducing the study he has been doing while in isolation. Soon, a glitch appears on the camera. After a loud noise, we see a bright green light glowing in the room and on the face of Banner. While Banner tries to talk to the new entity, Robert Downey Jr.’s Dr. Doom’s voice is heard saying, “I am here to collect you.”
We soon hear Banner turning into Hulk and shouting, with Doom escaping, taking Hulk with him. When the camera’s quality stabilizes, we see a green glowing sign on the floor of the room.
Mid-Credit Scene 2
Miss Minutes welcomes the audience back, giggling. However, further into the scene, Owen Wilson’s Mobius is seen panicking as he is briefed by Ouroboros that several Earths are colliding with each other. Within seconds, the count keeps moving up.
It is then revealed that what starts with two Earths attacking each other ends with 3000 Earths facing an incursion. This is also when Ouroborus tells Mobius that “the Multiverse is collapsing.”
Post-Credit Scene
It is exactly what we heard toward the end of Avengers: Endgame: the sound of the hammer and the anvil. While it was a tribute to Tony Stark, Avengers: Endgame Encore reveals that it is not Tony Stark. With each hit of the hammer, the excitement builds. However, in the last three hits, three pieces of footage are unveiled within split seconds. The first shows the hammer striking metal, the second shows a mask being drawn from flames, and the third reveals the mask to be that of Dr. Victor von Doom.
These were the highlights from Avengers: Endgame Encore. Looking at the additional footage in the movie, it is certain that Joe and Anthony Russo have planned out a huge cinematic experience. What it will be like, only the release will reveal.
