FRIENDS: Lisa Kudrow Has An EPIC Reply To Trolls Criticising The Show For Having An ‘All-White’ Cast

FRIENDS began in 1994 and it’s going to be almost 26 years, but the buzz remains massive till date. But one thing that is suddenly bothering a section is the fact the series had only white cast members. Be it Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox or David Schwimmer – there was no cast member of colour. While there may be criticism for the same, Lisa Kudrow now has the perfect response.

For the unversed (do any even exist though?), Lisa Kudrow played the role of Phoebe Buffay in FRIENDS. Previously David Schwimmer had pointed out that he is aware of the lack of diversity. But Lisa has a rather different perspective. The beauty is defending the show with a perfect response and we couldn’t agree more.

In a conversation with The Times, Lisa Kudrow spoke about how if FRIENDS would be recreated today, “Oh, it’d be completely different. Well, it would not be an all-white cast, for sure. I’m not sure what else, but, to me, it should be looked at as a time capsule, not for what they did wrong.”
