Angelina Jolie VS Deepika Padukone Fashion Face-Off: Who Rocked The Thigh-High Slit Better?

There was a time when Angelina Jolie flaunted her toned legs at an event in 2012. But that did not go very well with viewers who trolled her mercilessly. Years after, the thigh-high slit has become a red carpet favourite. In Bollywood, Deepika Padukone remains one of the beauties who has carried that look like no other. So we thought, why not a fashion face-off between the best of both worlds?
Starting with Angelina, the Maleficent actress donned the thigh-slit for Oscars, 2012. The black Atelier Versace gown was strapless. It was corset bodice with folded detailing on one side that ran diagonally across her waist. The silhouette had a thigh-high slit across the right leg.

Angelina Jolie left her hair open in natural waves. She wore minimal jewellery that including ear studs and a huge rock on the finger ring. Smokey eyes with kohl, eyeliner and a lot of mascara completed her eye makeup. A red lip shade was all she added to nail her bold fashionist avatar. Black peep-toe shoes complemented her attire. Deepika Padukone took inspiration from the diva and gave it her own touch.
Deepika Padukone wore the attire on Lux Golden Rose Awards, 2016. DP’s satin grey outfit was also strapless and the Ralph and Russo piece gracefully flaunted the neckline. Just as Angelina Jolie’s attire, this one too had folded detailing across one side of the chest which ran across the diagonal side of the thigh-high slit area.
The beauty left her hair open, slicked backwards. Just a couple of finger rings was all that her jewellery consisted. Deepika wore strappy silver heels to complete her attire. She kept her makeup minimal just like Angelina, including the red lipstick.

Given the number of similarities, we won’t deny that Deepika Padukone’s look was highly inspired by Angelina Jolie’s appearance. But who do you think rocked it better? The competition is tough given that the long legs in both the cases do not stop grabbing eyeballs.
