Mahendra Singh Dhoni aka MS Dhoni doesn’t need any introduction. But do you know, Dhoni never reached the peak salary of Virat Kohli even during his prime of IPL? Keep reading to know more!

Dhoni has been a part of IPL ever since the cricket league started. From the first edition onwards, the star cricketer has been a part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Except for two years (2016 and 2017), during which CSK was banned, Dhoni was a part of Rising Pune Supergiants. But after the ban was lifted, he again returned to the camp of CSK.

During the first season of IPL, MS Dhoni was bought by CSK at a price of 6 crores. For the same price, he was retained by the franchise for the next two years. In 2011, Dhoni’s salary was increased upto 8.28 crores and with the same annual remuneration, he remained with the team for the next two years.
