The Deols’ fun filled fiesta sequel edition Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 in its opening weekend has raked up 23 crores . The film that was memorable for its hilarious antics, has tried to rekindle the same in this film. With that Koimoi’s Top 10 Highest First Weekend list has seen too many changes.

Murder 3 that was at position 10 with a an earning of 13.31 crores has been evicted from the list. YPD 2 has also surpassed the collections of ABCD – Any Body Can Dance, Kai Po Che!, Ek Thi Daayan, Chashme Baddoor, Aashiqui 2 and Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola.

Aashiqui 2 which is one of the year’s biggest hits in terms of profits and critically acclaimed films like Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola and Kai Po Che falling flat in front of a film unanimously panned by critics is surprising. But since the film provides first rate mindless entertainment, along with the success of its prequel, the box office performance of the film has been good so far despite heavy competition from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
