Sidharth Malhotra is back in the uniform with Yodha. Co-starring Raashii Khanna, the film hit the theatres on Friday. It is facing competition from Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan led Shaitaan, which is shining bright at the ticket windows. But the action film has managed to score a decent opening. Although the genres are different, Shaitaan has held a major chunk of the screen count. The film is working pretty well on the theatre screens and managed its strong hold despite the arrival of the Sidharth Malhotra starrer.
As per the early trends, Yodha brought in box office collections of 4-4.30 crores on day 1. The action flick has managed a decent opening. The spot bookings majorly helped the overall numbers and that shall continue to be the scenario, at least in the near future.
It is now to be seen whether the film witnesses a jump during the first weekend, which will majorly determine its lifetime collections at the box office.

Yodha narrates the tale of Arun Katyal, an off-duty soldier who fights against terrorists on a hijacked plane and also takes up the responsibility of saving the passengers. Things take a difficult turn as the engine of the aircraft fails.
Sidharth Malhotra plays the leading man while Raashii Khanna is roped in to play his romantic interest, Priyamvada “Priya” Katyal.
The film also stars Disha Patani, Ronit Roy, Tanuj Virwani, Sunny Hinduja, and SM Zaheer, among others.
