Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is reaching historic zeniths at the domestic box office. A much publicized and hyped film from Dharma Productions, it is largely living up to the grand image the film had claimed to gather for itself. The film had 2013’s highest opening weekend at the domestic box office, by surpassing the dramatic multi-starrer thriller Race 2.
Race 2 that had earned 51.30 crores in its opening weekend was finally beaten at it by Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani that earned 62.11 crores by the wrapping of its first weekend.
With that the film also evicted from Koimoi’s Top 10 Opening Weekend’s list, Nautanki Saala that rested at Number 10 position on the list with an opening collections of 13.25 crores.
