Dharma Productions’ Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani justified the hype. Declared by most critics as a decadent entertainer, the film has brought back in Bollywood the glossy pomp and show of Karan Johar films and is on a record-shattering spree in India. This exactly works as the film’s USP. While morose realism was overtaking Bollywood, this film gets back a judicious doze of pompous color back. The film that claimed a wonderful opening earned 19.45 crores in its first day itself at the Domestic Box Office.

With this, the film stands at 2013’s Biggest Opener, with Race 2 standing at No. 2 position with 15.10 Crores.It won’t be an overstatement to pronounce that the film is aiming to be the year’s biggest blockbuster. Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s fantastic chemistry is the quintessential crowd puller. The film is expected to cash in its inflated buzz and rake up a good earning in the weeks to come. Though Hangover 3 is mildly competing with it, the film isn’t anywhere close to YJHD’s booming business.
