Ranbir’s 100 crore helm that came with Anurag Basu’s Barfi! opened at 9.20 crores. Despite controversial plagiarism issues, the film for its wonderful sweet natured treatment went on to impress the audiences. Snowballing the same with Ranbir’s magnificent act, the film managed to become one of the biggest hits of the year joining the distinguished 100 crore club.

YJHD that is produced by Dharma Productions is recording an overwhelming advance bookings. Targeting the multiplex audiences more than single screens, Ranbir’s fan base will be a large help in earning the film its much deserved dues. Expecting a large number of repeat audiences too, the film’s opening weekend collection can be expected to cross 50 crores. The film has no stiff competition in another two weeks to come and hence can be expected to put up a stable show business wise. According to early calculations, the film in another week and half can manage to cross the 100 crore mark despite the average drop in occupancy.

Critics have unanimously announced Ranbir as an apt replacement of all the big superstars of Bollywood – including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. The actor, who won the hearts of critics with films like Barfi and Rockstar is eyeing another humongous commercial success after Barfi.

Ranbir has another shot at 100 crore in 2013 with Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam. Abhinav, who debuted with Salman Khan starrer Dabangg, is all set to make a charming feat yet again! 2013 will hopefully turn out to be a wonderful year for Ranbir and most of his fans are already celebrating the grand success of YJHD that is still reveling in the pleasures of its bombastic opening collections!
