With the Hollywood flick Fast and Furious 7 making a record breaking collections at Indian Box Office affecting the business of Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy; will Avengers: Age Of Ultron manage to do the same in terms of collections beating the record of Fast and Furious 7, and affecting this week’s multiple Bollywood releases Lateef, Ishq Ke Parindey, Jai Ho! Democracy and Kaagaz Ke Fools?

Yes, Avengers: Age Of Ultron will surely take a great opening specially in Imax and 3D formats and first day will be huge. The others will have to depend on word of mouth and if that is positive for any of them, they may pick up over the weekend.

While Avengers: Age Of Ultron too will have outstanding numbers from its India theatrical release, it may not be as big as Fast and Furious 7, courtesy a very simple release – the relative release size! While Fast and Furious 7 had released on the E-Cinema projection systems too, Avengers: Age Of Ultron will limit itself to the 2K digital projection platforms only, like all the major Hollywood film studios do. So, against the 2300 (approx) screens that Fast and Furious 7 released in, Avengers: Age Of Ultron may release only in about 1200 screens. However, if you look at the screen-wise collections, I’m quite sure Avengers: Age Of Ultron will score well over Fast and Furious 7.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will have an awesome opening but will not be able to match Fast and Furious 7 numbers as they are not releasing it in UFO format thus limiting the number of screens. The fury of Avengers will be such that they will just wipe out the Bollywood releases.
