Writing is on the wall for Wazir. The film, after an ordinary weekend, had to stay really stable (and that too on the higher side) during the weekdays to get to a good lifetime total. However, the fall in collections on Monday pretty much set the expectations for how rest of the weekdays would follow. Tuesday wasn’t any better as around 2.5 crore* came in. As a result, the film now stands around 26.25 crore* mark.
Farhan Akhtar’s last solo release, Shaadi Ke Side Effects (2014), had gathered 30.83 crore in its first week and Wazir would have a similar total too by Thursday night.
While it appears to be a disappointing total in sight for Wazir, Farhan has Rock On!! 2 to look forward to, which releases in November this year. Amitabh Bachchan is beyond numbers and while his act has been appreciated in Wazir too, he would be looking at more audience with his bunch of upcoming films (TE3N, Shoojit Sircar’s next production and Aankhen 2). Aditi Rao Hydari would soon be seen in Sudhir Mirhsra’s Aur Devdas and The Legend of Micahel Mishra.
