Udta Punjab has literally been the most talked about film since the past two weeks. After its clash with the Censor Board, the film received an unusual attention and formed as a good publicity tool for the film.
According to morning show reports, the film has taken a massive opening mainly in the North – including Punjab, where the film’s story is set. In Delhi too, the responses for morning shows have been more than 50% plus in spite of it being leaked online.

In other metros such as Mumbai, the opening occupancy is approximately in the range of 30-35%. Considering it is a normal week day, we couldn’t expect anything better than this.

The film’s leak will be a huge issue for the makers and it will form as a setback for the weekend collections.
