The film has beaten the opening weekend collection of Azhar (20.80 crores) and Wazir (21 crores). Udta Punjab is now the 9th highest weekend grossing film of 2016.
If the film shows great growth on Sunday, it has the chances to grab the 4th or 5th spot in this list.
Udta Punjab features Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan in key roles.
