Jayasurya and Vinayakan’s latest Malayalam film had a disappointing start at the box office. The film failed to pick up pace after its opening day. The Malayalam film is expected to crash at the box office in its opening week alone at the current pace. Despite mixed-to-positive reviews, the fantasy film did not attract audience attention.
Jayasurya and Vinayakan were last seen together in the hit franchise film, Aadu 3. The film was released in theaters earlier this year and was a major success. The film had an extended opening weekend owing to a Thursday release. Despite that, the film’s opening weekend collection in India remained under 2 crore. On its first Sunday, the film earned 52 lakh, lower than its opening-day earnings of 65 lakh. The film’s net total after 4 days stands at 1.95 crore, which translates to 2.3 crore gross.

Aadu 3 vs Titans
Jayasurya and Vinayakan’s first 2026 release, Aadu 3, earned three times as much as Titans on its opening day alone. In its 4-day opening weekend, Aadu 3 registered a net total of 27.05 crore. In comparison, Titans earned 92.79% less than the popular comedy franchise.
At the current pace, Titans will wrap up its lifetime total at mostly under 4 crore. Even 4 crore seems quite difficult, but that’s the upper limit the film is aiming for at this point. The film has no major competition at the box office from local movies, aside from the Tamil hit Jailer 2.
