Jayasurya and Vinayakan’s latest movie, Titans, hit theatres on October 22. The Malayalam comedy-drama received mixed-to-positive reviews from audiences on social media. This is Jayasurya and Vinayakan’s second film together after the successful Aadu 3. However, unlike their earlier collaboration, Titans had a slow start at the box office. The film will have to rely on word of mouth to witness a boost at the box office.

How Much Did Titans Earn at the Box Office on Opening Day?

Directed by Prince Joy, the film had limited pre-release buzz. It earned 65 lakh net on its opening day. This is a slow start for a film starring Jayasurya. However, Mollywood has proven that a slow start does not necessarily mean a box-office flop. With strong word-of-mouth, the film has the potential to become a box-office success.

Titans had a wide opening in Kerala with 844 shows. The film had an occupancy rate of 23%. The film’s majority of collections came from Kerala, with Karnataka and Tamil Nadu ranking 2nd and 3rd.

Earns 89% Less Than Aadu 3

Jayasurya began the year with the release of Aadu 3. In the comedy franchise, Jayasurya plays Shaaji Pappan. It is a successful franchise, and the third installment was a massive box-office hit. The film crossed the 100 crore mark worldwide. On its opening day, Aadu 3 earned 5.95 crore, making Titans’ opening 89% lower than that of Jayasurya’s earlier release in 2026.
