Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the romantic comedy received mixed to decent reviews from critics. In the theatrical run, it did well with its targeted audience, which was youth. Honestly speaking, no one really had hopes for this film as its trailer was just average, and it didn’t create any buzz in the pre-release buzz. A couple of songs did well, but again, in terms of box office, it looked like a dull affair. In reality, it left everyone surprised with its collection.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a clean success!
It’s not officially revealed, but Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’s budget is said to be around 70 crores. Considering this cost, the film has just done well enough at the Indian box office to rake in some returns. As per the recent update, the rom-com has earned 87 crores net, thus yielding an ROI (return on investment) of 17 crores or 24.28%. With this, the film has secured a ‘plus’ verdict, as per Koimoi’s parameters.
Teri Baaton Mein… turns the tables for Shahid Kapoor & Kriti Sanon!
Before the release, we wrote special box office stories about the potential of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya to become a much-needed commercial success for both actors. For those who aren’t aware, Shahid Kapoor’s last theatrical success was Kabir Singh, which was released in 2019. After that, he had only one theatrical release in the form of Jersey, and that, too, failed miserably.
Now, with this rom-com, Shahid has finally tasted box office success after a long wait!
Kriti Sanon, too, had her last commercial success in 2019, in the form of a multistarrer like Housefull 4. After that, she had a string of theatrical failures. Before Kriti bounced back with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, she saw not 1 or 2 but 6 failures with Panipat, Bachchhan Paandey, Bhediya, Shehzada, Adipurush, and Ganapath. Glad to see her making a successful comeback at the Indian box office!
