A sequel to 2017 Marvel’s Spidey movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, has released with large expectations among the Indian audience. Homecoming did a business of around 58 crores at the Indian Box Office and now expectations are much bigger considering MCU and Spiderman’s increased popularity after Infinity War and Endgame.
Box Office Impact: Spider-Man: Far From Home is a film to watch out for if you are looking for some larger than life entertainment this weekend. The film has spectacularly choreographed action scenes, breathtaking visuals, lovely school romance angle, good number of laughter evoking scenes and enough nostalgia.
Check out what our in-house reviewer, Umesh Punwani, has to say about the film.
I watched the 5:30 PM show of the film at one of the PVR’s in Mumbai amidst enough no. of Spiderman lovers who belonged to all age groups. I must say they were all hooked to the film and their reactions to some of the scenes proved that they are totally caught by its web. The environment the film created was just magical to be precise.
Personally speaking, the film took sometime to engage but as soon as there’s this monstrous challenge for our Peter Parker (who is just having a fun vacation in Europe with friends and is planning to purpose his love), things start changing and in no time they reached to a whole new level. There were some dull moments too because you don’t want to be thrown away from the high it gives you, but the second half is totally badass, man! I am personally a sucker of the ‘illusion’ concept so I was totally gripped to it. The film was enlightening for me on some levels because it visualised a lot if things that I knew before just in text. The concept of multiple earths, dimensions and multiverse totally bought me and I was happily sold.
