The biographical thriller Neerja, which features Sonam Kapoor in a titular role, has turned out to be one of the most profitable ventures for the makers. Made on the moderate budget of 21 crores, Neerja has collected 63.79 crores till now. The film has made the profit of 42.79 crores which takes the profit percentage of the film to 203%.

This Ram Madhvani directorial venture which also stars Shabana Azmi, Yogendra Tiku and Shekhar Ravjiani in supporting roles is based on the life of slain flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who saved 359 hostages during the hijack of her flight.
