The new releases this week remained dull at the box office. Sonali Cable had an extremely poor opening as it collected 14 lakhs on its opening day. Sadly, the film continued to show gloom on its second day too collecting a mere 16 lakhs on Saturday. The film’s two day total now stands at 30 lakhs at the domestic box office.
The film starring Rhea Chakravarty and Ali Fazal was trashed by the critics too. Due to its extremely low pre-release buzz, the audiences were not much aware about this film. The pre-Diwali week being dull is still favoring the two week old releases of Bang Bang and Haider. Sonali Cable is not expected to show much growth over Sunday too. With the release of Happy New Year next week, this film is anyway going to wash out of theaters soon.
