Rascalshas bombed at the box-office. After a fairly good start on Thursday (Dassera holiday), its collections dropped on Friday and fell even more on Saturday. Sunday was hardly what it should’ve been as collections were on the lower side. The four-day weekend, which was expected to be bountifull, turned out to be quite disastrous due to the quick decline in collections. After an unimpressive weekend of Rs. 23 crore, collections nose-dived on Monday. The downward slip continued all through the week days so that the eight-day week ended at barely Rs. 30-31 crore. Distributors would stand to lose heavily in the Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan starrer.
Rascals: Box-Office Update
Love Breakups Zindagibroke hearts rather than records. Its first week’s collections were pathetic. The film opened to dismal houses and went from bad to worse to worst as the week progressed. Around 75-80% of the investment in the film will be a dead loss.
Soundtrackfailed to make sounds of any kind at the box-office. Its first week was very poor, leaving its makers dumbfounded.
9 Elevensaw barely nine and eleven people in a show. In other words, its first week was also its last week almost everywhere.
Real Steel(dubbed) collected less than what its appreciation suggested it would. The English version fared better, of course.
Doraemon In Nobita And the Steel Troops – The New Age(dubbed; animation) failed to make much of a mark in its first week.
Forcedropped dramatically in 2nd week. At many centres, it has had to be pulled out of the cinemas after a two-week run.
Mausam, unlike the unpredictable mausam in Bombay earlier this week, followed the predictable path and almost buried itself under the burden of pathetically poor collections in 3rd week.
