A Rajkumar Hirani film releases with huge expectations from trade and audience alike. The director commands a 100% track record at the box office, a feat that not many can boast about. His fifth directorial, tentatively titled Sanju, is four months away from its release, however, there is already a lot of curiosity around the film.

As expected, there is a huge demand for the film within the distribution section and the same has helped it fetch a huge amount towards the distribution rights. The worldwide distribution rights of Sanju has been sold to Fox Star Studio for a humongous sum of Rs 110 crore. Starring Ranbir Kapoor in lead, the film is a biopic of controversial Bollywood actor, Sanjay Dutt and the team in the past confirmed that the movie won’t glorify the actor.

The sale of distribution rights has ensured huge table profit for the producers, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, however, the humongous sum has put an additional pressure on the film to fare well at the box office. The film would be termed a hit at the box-office at distributor share (India + Overseas) above 120 crores.

Talking in terms of box office collections, the film would be termed a hit at collections above 190 crores in India, and $ 7 Million (45 crores) in the overseas market. The distributors are expecting Sanju to become Ranbir Kapoor’s highest grosser till date in India.
