The grand countdown to Indian cinema’s biggest cinematic experience is fast approaching its final stretch. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the monumental mythological epic Ramayana, headlined by Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is set to arrive in theaters worldwide on November 5 (Diwali 2026). However, after a massive weekend surge that saw pre-sales leap by 58% on October 24, the opening day advance booking momentum has experienced a noticeable dip.

Only 12% Growth In Pre-Sales

Over the last 24 hours, the ticket pre-sales for the opening day of this mythological biggie registered a modest 12.10% growth in gross revenue, which is slightly less celebratory given the mammoth investment riding on this film produced by Yash and Namit Malhotra!

With 11 days to go, on October 25, 12.30 PM, the advance gross revenue for the opening day stands at 8.89 crore, excluding the blocked seats! The star-studded epic featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi has sold a monumental 1.58 lakh tickets across 4,568 shows, raking in 7.5 crore net collection for the opening day in advance.

Currently, the film has four houseful shows already, with 3 in Hyderabad and one in Ahmedabad! While initial ticketing windows unlocked aggressive demand, the 24-hour pace between Saturday and Sunday reflects a minor dip before full-fledged bookings open in India. The net collection grew by less than 1 crore in the last 24 hours!

3 Cities Cross The 1 Crore Mark!

3 cities have already crossed the 1 crore gross collection mark with advance bookings for the opening day. The highest contribution is attributed to Delhi-NCR, registering a gross revenue of 1.78 crore already! Mumbai follows with 1.23 crore gross collection for the opening day, and Bengaluru stands at 1.22 crore!

How Much Ramayana Needs To Hit The Ultimate Pre-Opening Record

To claim the title of the Highest Opening-Day Advance Booking of All Time in Indian box office history, Ramayana needs to hit an advance booking of almost 44 gross collection more to surpass Dhurandhar 2’s 54 crore gross collection mark!  With 11 days remaining for the film to arrive, it needs to pick up exponentially, averaging 5 crore per day in daily additions to surpass Dhurandhar 2!

Ramayana already possesses a solid 8.89 crore gross cushion with 11 days left on the clock. As Diwali approaches and promotion reaches peak intensity, all eyes are set on whether Ranbir Kapoor and Yash can trigger an avalanche of last-minute bookings to shatter all-time records!
