Ramaiya Vastavaiya starring Girish Kumar and Shruti Haasan, despite an above average weekend managed to collecte an estimated amount of 3 crores on its 1st Monday at the Domestic Box Office. The film’s total collections have now reached a cumulative of 17.70 crores at the domestic box office.
With a hint of humor in romance, Ramaiya Vastavaiya was a film that has evolved straight out of the likes of Maine Pyaar Kiya and Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. The film though earnest in its way and tender in its moments along with Prabhudeva’s fantastic directorial skills is suffering a blow at the box office due to lack of popular stars.
