Varun Tej-led Operation Valentine is off to a disastrous start, and the actual numbers that have come in are truly shocking and much below expectations. Also starring Manushi Chhillar in a key role, the film is showing no signs of a turnaround, and it seems that after HanuMan, the search for a good commercial winner continues for Tollywood. Reception of Operation Valentine
Directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, the film released in theatres on 1st March. It opened to mostly poor reviews from critics, and even word-of-mouth isn’t working in favor. So, it was pretty much written on the cards that this action thriller wasn’t going to fly high, and what made the matter worse was that even on the opening day, the collection was dismal.
Operation Valention at the worldwide box office
On the opening day, Operation Valentine earned a shocking 1.53 crores net. On day 2, there was a slight jump, and as per early estimates, 2.20 crores came in. So, the estimated collection after 2 days stands at 3.73 crores net at the Indian box office, which equals 4.40 crores gross.

Talking about the overseas market, the performance has been extremely poor, and so far, only 0.35 crores in gross came in. Combining Indian gross and overseas gross, the total stands at 4.75 crores gross.
Where will Operation Valentine go from here?
Given the poor reactions of audiences, the Varun Tej starrer might show a slight growth today due to the Sunday factor, but it’ll end up much below the mark of 10 crores. It’s clearly not a good sign as the film is riding on a moderate budget of over 40 crores. Looking at the current situation, it seems that even the mark of 20 crores would be difficult to touch in India’s net collection.
In the overseas market, Operation Valentine might even struggle to reach the mark of 5 crore gross, thus making it a worldwide box office disaster.
