Box Office: Yash Adds Another Feather To His Cap, Crosses 1100 Crore Net In The Post-COVID Era

Yash is one of the biggest pan-India superstars in the country right now, and the opening of Toxic just proved that. The larger-than-life image from KGF Chapter 2 and his humble personality have made him a big crowd-puller, and the failure of Toxic won’t cause him any major damage. Yash started his post-COVID run on a high note

In the post-COVID era, the superstar has had only two theatrical releases so far. It started with KGF Chapter 2 (2022), which had a huge pre-release buzz. It amassed thunderous numbers on opening day and, due to strong support from the masses, had a long theatrical run. It eventually wrapped up at 859.7 crore net at the Indian box office. With these numbers, it is currently the 5th highest-grossing Indian film.

Toxic underperforms at the Indian box office

After KGF Chapter 2, Yash returned to the big screens after a gap of three years with Toxic. From the moment the film was announced to the day of its release, it had strong buzz, which helped it secure mind-blowing numbers on the opening day. However, due to negative audience reactions, it suffered a sharp decline from the second day onwards. Currently, after 15 days, it stands at 243.6 crore net and is likely to close at less than 250 crore net.

Yash crosses the 1100 crore net mark in the post-COVID era

While Toxic has sealed its fate as a disaster, Yash has managed to unleash a big milestone. Combining the collections of KGF Chapter 2 and Toxic, the actor’s total Indian box office collection stands at a huge 1103.3 crore net in the post-COVID era, surpassing the 1100 crore net milestone. With no more fuel in the tank, this is most probably the last milestone for the actor during Toxic’s run.

A few days back, Yash crossed the 1500 crore mark at the worldwide box office post-COVID. Now, by crossing the 1100 crore net mark in India, the actor has added another feather to his cap.
