The film was declared tax free in mass circuits such as Maharashtra, UP and MP much before its release itself and that helped it perform better. Being a woman centric film which was strongly held on her shoulders by actress Priyanka Chopra solely, the film managed to pull off a good business in spite of its unique story.
The film has settled with a lifetime business of 59 crores at the domestic box office which is quite decent considering it was a biopic as against to a commercial potboiler which could have made a better business.
