Released amid minimal expectations, the film has managed to shine at the worldwide box office. Directed by Chidambaram S Poduval, the Malayalam survival thriller was released on 22nd February. Upon its release, the thriller opened to highly positive reviews from critics all over. This boosted the performance at the box office, and as a result, within an opening week, the film turned out to be a mega success for Mollywood in 2024.
Manjummel Boys surprises with its Tamil Nadu collection!
Talking about the latest collection update, Track Tollywood’s report has shared an interesting insight. As per the report, Manjummel Boys has already crossed 5 crores gross in Tamil Nadu, thus making it the highest-grossing Malayalam film in the state. On Friday, it became the first Malayalam film to rake in 1 crore on a single day in Tamil Nadu.
Sooner or later, Manjummel Boys will surpass the mark of 15 crores gross in the state, and in the lifetime run, even 20 crores gross is achievable. If this happens, it’ll surpass Kollywood’s Lal Salaam, which recently grossed 20 crores gross. It’s really shocking that a film featuring Rajinikanth‘s extended cameo is doing such a low business on home ground.
In the coming weeks, there’s no major competition as such at the Tamil Nadu box office. Also, due to public demand, shows in multiplexes are being increased continuously. So, there are high chances that Manjummel Boys might end up beating Lal Salaam.

Talking about the all-India collection, the Chidambaram S Poduval directorial has amassed 30 crores net in 9 days at the Indian box office. In gross, it equals 35.4 crores. In the overseas market, it has raked in 25 crores gross so far. After combining Indian and overseas gross, the film stands at a staggering 60.4 crores gross.
Looking at the current pace, the film is likely to hit a global century.
