Today, it’s Manjummel Boys making all the noise. In the latest development, the film has crossed Lucifer’s lifetime in the list of highest-grossing Malayalam films at the worldwide box office. The Chidambaram directorial was released in theatres on 22nd February, and yesterday, it completed 16 days. So, even before the completion of three weeks, the film has gone well beyond the mark of 100 crores gross globally. It is still going strong, and in fact, the collection is better than what the film accumulated during the opening week.
Coming to the latest update, Manjummel Boys has amassed 70 crores net at the Indian box office in 16 days (till 3rd Friday). In gross, it equals 82.60 crores. In overseas, the film has earned 47 crores gross so far. Combining Indian and overseas gross, the total at the worldwide box office stands at 129.60 crores gross.
With 126.60 crores gross, Manjummel Boys has surpassed the lifetime collection of Mohanlal’s Lucifer to become the 3rd highest-grossing Malayalam film at the worldwide box office. For those who don’t know, Lucifer earned 128 crores gross. In a couple of days, the film will also cross Pulimurugan to become the 2nd highest-grosser.
