Khoobsurat had a below average opening on its first day. The film collected 2.75 crores on its opening day. In spite of having a big release mainly in the multiplexes, the film could not generate enough footfalls. With a release in over 1100-1200 screens, the collections are considerably low.
Starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan in lead roles, the film which is a remake of the 80s classic of the same name has received mixed responses from the critics. The film has hardly released in single screens and so the performance in mass circuits was quite poor. Overall the film did not show any growth at any circuit specifically. It may pick up on the weekend if the film enjoys a positive buzz among the audiences. The fan base for the film will primarily be children and teenagers with whom this film is expected to be a hit.
