Kabali collected $13 million (87 crores gross) at the overseas box office in 4 days (including paid previews). Whereas, in India, the movie made a total business of 109.25 crores nett.
The film’s gross India business cannot be calculated as the collections coming from Tamil Nadu is tax free, whereas, tax in states like Nizam/Andhra, Karnataka and Kerala is lower than most Hindi film regions.
Thus, it’s worldwide collections stand at an approx figure of whopping 196.25 crores.
This Pa. Ranjith’s directorial venture has taken one of the biggest opening in the history of Indian films. Kabali also features Radhika Apte, Winston Chao and Dhansika in key roles.
