Tamil Nadu is the home ground for Kamal Hassan and this region is contributing major share in collections for Kamal Hassan’s films. If we see the statistics of Kamal Hassan’s past ventures, 60% of the total collections are coming from this region. With respect to the first day collections, Kamal Hassan is hitting the top 5 list, most of the times, in Kollywood region.
After Tamil Nadu, Kamal Hassan is having huge market in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. Around 15% of the overall collections are from this region. Majority of the Kamal Hassan’s flicks will have separate Telugu and Hindi versions. Even though Kamal Hassan is from Kollywood film industry, he gets the same response which every direct Telugu superstar gets in Tollywood region.
Maharashtra and few other regions in North India contribute to another 12.5% of the total collections.
