With an average performance overall after its opening day, Gunday added a little more moolah to its kitty. A drop was expected on the weekdays, yet the film collected an approx 4.50 crores on Wednesday. The film now stands with a domestic total of 57.80 crores at the box office.
Being a solo Valentine’s release, the film cashed in on the opening day and performed well at multiplexes. Also due to tough competition from rom-com Hasee Toh Phasee, which released a week prior, the film failed as a audience puller.
With average critic reviews too, the film failed to impress on account of its lack of uniqueness and an unimpressive love triangle. The release of Highway this week may limit the business of Gunday and hamper it from raking any higher figures.
